Looking for herbs

Duchess Miracle smiled as she walked through the Forest of Amskir. She had come to pick some herbs so she could make some herbal rememdies, and sketch some drawings of plants. Grinning, she found some vervain and began to sketch.

Suddenly a figure in darkness appeared behind her.
"Excuse me young lady, are you lost? My name is Sir Ryan. It is dangerous to be alone in this forest. Please allow me to accompany you."
Sir Ryan drew his two daggers.

"Ah hello, I'm Duchess Miracle, the palace's head healer." She looked him up and down, and saw the daggers. "From the description Lady Tia gave me, you are Sir Ryan. She told me that if you try to harm me, that I am to make a magic signal for her. Oh, and she told me to pass this not along." Duchess Miracle holds out a note. It said:

"To Sir Ryan,
If you dare harm a single head on somebody from the palace, and someone that is my friend, I swear I will put my full wrath on you. It's not like you need much more to go, so don't push it. You are treading on a ticking landmine, which happens to be my patience. ~Lady Tia"

Sir Ryan takes the note and reads it over.
"Hehe...oops looks like i crossed a line here. Don't worry. I'm here to protect you. And I'm waiting for the Frozen Sparrow too. Please send my regards to Lady Tia, and...sigh....and apology." He keeps his knives out, but points them away from Duchess Miracle. "This forest is dangerous so i'd watch your back if I were you. I'm only here until come dusk or nightfall. I'll escort you back to the palace when you are done."

"Hee." Duchess Miracle finishes her sketches half an hour later. "Well, shall we go?" She smiles at Sir Ryan.

"Of course. After you, and don't worry, i wont hurt you." He sheathes his daggers and starts walking with Duchess Miracle.
"We must hurry, it will be dusk soon. You dont know what will be here at night."

Duchess Miracle grins. "Hee. I knew it. You're not such a bad guy afterall. Razz

Now why don't you use some of that kindness to get back on Lady Tia's good side?"

"Ehh.....i rarely show my good side to anyone. Heh....I do sometimes show it to Lady Tia though." He picks a rose from the ground and gives it to Duchess Miracle. "Seems we are here. Here is a gift. Treasure it well. Now I must go off and find Lady Tia. Thank you for this walk. It has been a pleasure."

She grins. "Thank you. This rose is lovely." Duchess Miracle waves farewell but turns around and calls, "Mind your tongue around Lady Tia.. Her patience and temper around here are quite... Interesting, and not to mention well-known." With that, she heads toward the infirmary.
